Best Places to Find Plus-size Clothing

Sharing Is Caring

As a plus-size woman, you know as well as I do the struggle to find clothing that fits. It can all be so demoralizing after a while. You just want to find something cute in a store, try it on, and fall in love. Well, you can if you know where to look. What are the best places to find plus-size clothing?

Here are some of my favorite places to buy plus-size clothes:

·  Universal Standard

·  ASOS Curve

·  11 Honoré

·  Eloquii

·  Loud Bodies

·  Amazon

·  Torrid

·  Berriez

·  Ashley Stewart

·  Fashion to Figure

·  Rebdolls

That’s right, there are so many incredible places where you can shop for plus-size clothes. Some of these are brands you might already know and love, while others could be brand-new on your radar. Keep reading for more about each plus-size fashion brand and what they’re all about!

1. Universal Standard

Universal Standard isn’t exclusively plus-sized, but their sizes go up to a 4XL, so I’d say they’re pretty darn size-inclusive. That’s all you’re looking for, after all, more inclusivity.

You can find all the basic clothing staples you need in your wardrobe at Universal Standard, from base layers to shirts, dresses, sweaters, bodysuits, pants, leggings, and denim.

How about a bold pair of pants to add to your wardrobe? The Stephanie wide-leg stripe pants in bright forest green feature a black and white stripe down the middle. These high-waisted, loose-fitting pants will help you master the athleisure trend.

The liquid jersey V-neck dolman in True Blue is super cute and sure to become something you’ll wear all throughout the year.

This top has two V-necks, one in the front and another in the back, that don’t plunge as far. Pull your hair up to show off the top’s unique cut!

2. ASOS Curve

If you always find yourself longingly browsing the ASOS website wishing its sizes were bigger, then boy, do I have news for you. There’s ASOS Curve for bigger bodies like yours!

The curvy and plus-size clothes run the gamut from dresses to sweaters and cardigans, tops, activewear, pants and leggings, and sleepwear.

I don’t know about you, but I’m in love with the Lace & Beads plus-size exclusive puff sleeve babydoll mini dress. The lilac floral color is divine, the cut is flattering, the sheer puffy sleeves are perfection, and the whole shebang will make you feel like a princess.

The Collusion twill midi skirt in white will put you in the summer mood anytime. This high-waisted, soft skirt features an elastic waist and pockets. It gives off 2000s vibes but in the best way possible!

3. 11 Honoré

French fashion, here you come!

11 Hono is all about retro, runway-ready fashion that will make you feel like an icon from a bygone era. The styles run the gamut from funky printed dresses to long overcoats in bold colors.

Even better is that their selection of looks changes all the time, so there’s always something new to wear.

Keep in mind that once something is gone, it’s gone forever unless you can find it on the secondhand market!

4. Eloquii

Eloquii is a plus-size store for sizes 14 to 28.

You’ll want to stock up on everything you see, from workwear to jackets, jeans, bottoms, tops, dresses, and accessories. And I certainly can’t blame you for that!

The cross-front midi dress is one of Eloquii’s best-sellers, and I can certainly see why!

The dress features a lined skirt, waist seam, a front twist with ties you adjust, long sleeves, a column skirt, and a body-hugging fit.

The stretch matte jersey knit is flattering on your curves, and the colors are great! I personally love the hue called Basil, which is a light, minty green.

The hardware detail cutout top looks hot when worn tucked in or out of a leather skirt or a fierce pair of jeans. This knitted long-sleeved shirt features dual bucket hardware trims on the front and a mock neckband. It’s sexy and timeless!

5. Loud Bodies

Be loud and proud at Loud Bodies, a plus-size clothing retailer that’s sustainable, ethical, and inclusive. It doesn’t get any better!

The fashion here is bold and funky but admittedly may not be to everyone’s tastes.

If you love embracing your body and wearing unique styles, then Loud Bodies is certainly for you. I think plenty of you reading this will like the styles available.

The Katerina coat will undoubtedly turn heads wherever you go with its bold plaid print. The coat is made of non-toxic dyes, so you can feel good about staying warm!

Make a statement in the Marta trousers in black. These high-waisted, wide-legged pants with a flared trim on both sides will be your go-to when you want to feel your boldest and bravest.

6. Amazon

Amazon is one of those companies that really needs no introduction.

Since you probably use it to buy everything from makeup to groceries and pet supplies, it’s easy enough to forget that Amazon also sells clothing.

Of course, not all products on Amazon are created equally. Always read the reviews and check how many people left reviews. If an item barely has any reviews, that’s usually pretty sketchy.

Be sure to check out the photos that people leave in their reviews to confirm that the clothing’s color, cut, pattern, and fit is right.

Work pants? On Amazon? That’s right. The Rafaella women’s plus-size curvy fit gabardine dress pants feature a bootcut style and are available in sizes 16 to 22. They’re made primarily of polyester (62 percent) with rayon (33 percent) and spandex (five percent).

The Floerns women’s plus size wrap V-neck dress is super cute. This A-line short dress comes in a variety of colors and patterns. All your girlfriends and colleagues will be asking you where you got this dress from, and you’ll love the price too!

7. Torrid

Torrid is really another of those brands that need no introduction either. Their sizes start at size 10 and go all the way up to size 30, so Torrid is more inclusive than ever.

Whether you’re not quite plus-sized but not quite straight-sized either, or you’re well into the plus-size territory, you can shop Torrid’s great selection of jeans, workwear, dresses, and shoes. Oh, and did I mention they have bras? Nice!

The ruffle cami is a spring and summer classic! This cotton and lace shirt in an eye-popping orange features a triangular cut along the front and very short ruffle sleeves. Wear it with a nice skirt, a pair of slacks, or denim.

Skinny jeans might feel daunting to wear at your size, but they shouldn’t. Torrid’s Bombshell skinny premium stretch high-rise jeans are tight yet show off your curves in all the right places, such as your hips, thighs, and bum.

The high-rise fit is sure to hide your tummy, while the skinny fit makes it easy to pair these jeans with wedges, booties, heels, or flats.

8. Berriez

Headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, Berriez is another rather eccentric clothing boutique. Although the store carries sizes small through large, Berriez is mostly known for its plus-size offerings that go up to a size 4X.

You can shop for an impressive selection of swimwear, intimates, sweaters, bottoms, tops, dresses, and sets.

You’ll undoubtedly grab attention wherever you go when you strut your stuff in the Greta Garmel flounce dress.

This appealing sleeveless dress in a gunmetal gray color features piping across the body and then a cute little ruffle that hits right over the thigh. It’s a head-turner for sure!

The Wray x BZ Porto suit will be what you wear for all your summertime adventures. This one-piece white swimsuit features a print full of sliced fruit like kiwis, melons, citrus, and strawberries.

It’s so adorbs you just might want to wear it as a bodysuit after summer ends.

9. Ashley Stewart

Every plus-sized girl’s best friend is Ashley Stewart.

This plus-size retailer has everything you need to build a bigger wardrobe, including intimates, jeans, dresses, and tops. New arrivals are added to the site all the time!

The Curvy Girl fashion line includes probably my favorite Ashley Stewart offerings as of late. You might just fall for these fashions as well!

For example, take a look at the Brandy overalls. I mean, every girl needs a pair of overalls for those days where you just want to get dressed easily and effortlessly, and these overalls are it. They’re cute, bright, and will fit you right.

The Garcia maxi dress is quite an incredible find as well.

It features a multicolored pattern with sunset colors such as golden yellow, orange, and red intermingling with dark blue and teal blue. The maxi is sleeveless with a scoop cut in the front and back and a skirt that trails almost to the floor.

10. Fashion to Figure

As a plus-size woman, one of the worst feelings ever is feeling like you’re missing out on fashion trends because they don’t cater to your size. At Fashion to Figure, you’ll finally feel like fashion is made for you again.

What a refreshing feeling that will be. You’ll love expressing yourself through your new unique looks!

New to the Fashion to Figure lineup (as of this writing, anyway) is the color block denim crop top which features patches of darker and lighter denim. This is sort of like having a Justin and Britney moment circa 2001 but in the best way possible.

This cute crop top offers a lot of coverage and support. You’ll still want to wear it with something high-waisted, but your tummy won’t feel so exposed.

I’m also obsessed with the Paige faux pearl button-down shirt dress. This long-sleeved dress in olive green is flouncy and oh-so-perfect for cooler weather. It has long sleeves and a cut that hits over the mid-thigh.

The faux pearl buttons are a nice touch, as is the collar. You can show a bit of cleavage on the weekends if you want or you can wear this dress buttoned up for work. It’s versatile that way!

11. Rebdolls

I can’t talk about plus-size inclusivity without mentioning Rebdolls. This fashion brand has clothing from sizes 0 to 32. That’s right, 0 to 32!

With free shipping in Canada and the United States on orders over $80, easy payments with Afterpay, and 30-day returns, you need to bookmark the Rebdolls website like yesterday.

The Ego Boost sheer leopard jumpsuit is the definition of fierce. I don’t know what kind of scenario you’d wear this in, but you’ll find yourself in all sorts of crazy situations to justify this utterly sexy, hot look. And I don’t blame you!

The Denise Mercedes x Rebdolls Ever After keyhole midi A-line dress is just to die for. It’s a simple midi dress with an A-line cut that features a delicate floral print on white.

The tie-front is adjustable, and the square neck means this dress is office-appropriate too. The sleeves are long but not so long that you can’t wear this on a lovely spring day or even early into summer.

Conclusion

The next time a girlfriend complains that there are no good plus-size clothing stores, point her to this article. Sure, maybe they’re not on every street corner like many straight-size stores, but plus-size retailers are out there in droves!
